The Briggs & Stratton engine runs slightly more efficiently at 12.5 horsepower, and uses a single cylinder making the 7 quart fuel tank adequately large for the mower's needs. The 5-speed Disc Drive transmission allows for slow speeds in difficult areas, smooth acceleration, and reverse gear when the 28 inch turning radius is too wide. The single blade cuts in a 30 inch width at heights from 1.5 to 4.0 inches, and the entire deck can be lifted with a manual lever.
