Makita SP6000K
$359.00
Released January, 2009
The Pros:Handling is smooth and powerful - feels considerably more comfortable than competitors from Dewalt and Festool. Integrates smoothly within existing track guides and vacuum components - significantly reduces initial setup for making precision cuts. "Dog" component keeps unit firmly attached to track during bevel cuts - major selling point that adds significant versatility.
The Cons:Cord is relatively short - not conducive to larger shops with central power supplies and spread-out workstations. Vacuum port swivels very easily - may result in missed shavings/potentially dangerous debris buildups.
