The Makita 6217DWDE is an all metal gear transmission drill that runs off of environmentally friendly 2.6 Ah Ni-MH batteries. It has a 3-stage, 13-planetary gear system and a Shift Lock drive that makes it easy to shift from drill to driver mode with one touch and locks the clutch for improved drilling.

The Makita 6217DWDE has a locking/racheting chuck to improve grip strength and make sure that bit tightening is secure. It is built with a large spindle to keep the drilling on-center and comes with an ergonomical rubber grip for comfort.
