Makita 5377MG

The Makita 5377MG is a 7-1/4" magnesium hypoid saw. The magnesium components knock the weight of the device down to 13 pounds, lighter that other similiar products. It comes with a retractable hook to make it easy to put to the side, and has a built-in fan and sealed gear housing to keep the oil surface cooling with maximum efficiency.

 The hypoid gears give better surface contact and power than worm drive gears as well as lasting longer then them, the manufacturer claims. The Makita 5377MG has a 2-3/8" at 90 degree cutting capacity, and a bevel capacity of 0-51.5 degrees with positive stops at 22.5 degrees and 45 degrees.
