$13,529.00 Released December, 2009

Product Shot 1The John Deere X749 is one of four riding lawnmowers (X740, X744, X748, X749) released in December 2009. As an upgrade from the X748, the X749 replaces its predecessor’s tilt steering wheel for a full-fledged, 4-wheel steer that improves the tractor’s maneuverability and trimming performance, thereby allowing the user to complete his/her work more quickly with less backing up.

Like its counterpart, the John Deere X749 relies on a 4-wheel drive that works in forward and reverse, as separate front-wheel motors adjust peed in turns to eliminate turf scuffing. It is essence the top model of the series, although certain specs remain the same, including a 24-hp, liquid-cooled, 3-cylinder, Yanmar diesel engine for power, and a heavy-duty welded frame that can support up to 168 lb. of added weight (attachments).
