Husqvarna 316E Electric
$270.00
Released June, 2008
The Pros:Can handle small branches and larger trees without a problem. Very light weight, arms won't get tired. Motor doesn't vibrate or wobble.
The Cons:Can only ever go as far as the extension cord can reach. Chain needs to be kept sharp or it just won't cut, not enough power.
The Husqvarna 316E is a mid-grade electric chainsaw designed for all purpose use; more specifically for users interested in a gas-free chainsaw that operates with similar power. Unlike the gas powered chain-saws the 316E Electric's capacity is not measured in horsepower but volts; clocking in at 110 total volts with a 1600 watt power rating.

The Husqvarna 316E Electric model features a unique low operation vibration, and operation noise level which makes it possible for use in both indoor and outdoor environments. A combined choke/stop switch enables the user to safely stop the device in the event of an error or safety hazard which Husqvarna claims has a total stop time of less than one second. The Husqvarna 316E also features an automatic lubrication system, a rear "ergonomic" handle, and a unique saw chain blade designed for dual use in tree trimming and branch cutting yard work.
It is worthy of noting that the Husqvarna 316E has been discontinued, most likely due to a common hardware failure reported by several users.
