Honda HRC216K3HXA
$1,169.00
Released January, 2009
The Pros:Great engine - starts easily, quiet, extremely high quality. Self-propelled. "RotoStop" stops the blades for safely doing something quickly such as moving something or changing a setting without cutting the engine.
The Cons:High price. If you buy one for your home, your neighbors will be so envious, they will stop talking to you. (maybe a good thing). Although the deck is indestuctable, the bolt on metal underskirts can be damaged by ramming them into objects in the ground, but they are replaceable.
The Honda HRC216K3HXA is found at the high end of the Honda HRC line of push lawnmowers. The HRC series is the top of the line from Honda and it offers several technologies to make mowing the lawn easier for the user.

The 3 in 1 capable Bag System allows the consumer to adjust the unit to bag, mulch, discharge or shred grass or leaves. This series also offers the NeXite Mowing Deck made of a durable polymer which comes with a lifetime warranty. The MicroCut Twin Blade System creates more cuts in the grass splitting it into smaller pieces while the RotoStop Blade Control available only in this model of the HRC series allows the user to start and stop the blades with the engine running. The Honda HRC216K3HXA additionally has a hydrostatic cruise control for more variable speed control. The HRC series of lawnmower is made for anyone who wants an easy to use mower and does not mind spending a little extra money for the features. For those people who have always wanted a lawnmower that is of automotive quality, if you can look past the cheap plastic wheels, the quality on this one will make you very happy. The industial engine is much quieter than standard mowers. It has shaft drive with no miserable slipping rubber belts. The biggest problem you will have with this machine is leaving it unattended near a street. If you do leave the machine alone for a couple minutes by a street, you might be ripped of by one of your new community members is a junk 1985 pickup! Adios muchachos.

Mower gives the lawn a "manicured cut" which normally only the larger commercial mowers give

The mulching cut is so fine that you can mulch grass with this one that other mowers would leave a mess of piles all over the turf

This is the Cadillac of 21 inch mowers. Only the Toro commercial is equal to this, but the Honda has micro cut blades

Even though you can walk away with the engine running and the blade stopped, if you are cutting by a street, and leave this one unattended for a moment if will probably be stolen. It is that good.
