DeWalt DCD970KL
$350.00
Released January, 2008
The Pros:Very high power and torque, rarely runs into problems. Battery doesn't "fade out", so power is always sufficient until it is totally dead. Well-balanced feel.
The Cons:Cannot use a screw guide. Somewhat pricey. Heavy, though this may be necessary for the power.
The DeWalt DCD970KL is an 18V 1/2" XRP Lilon Hammerdrill. It is considered the best in its class length for balance and control. The hammerdrill uses two XRP nano phosphate Li-Ion batteries that have an extended run-time and battery length.
