The Craftsman 42" Briggs & Stratton 20 hp 28904 is a mid-range gas powered riding mower very similar to the Craftsman 42" Briggs & Stratton 19.5 hp 28902. The 28904's main improvements over the 28902 are its more powerful Briggs & Stratton 20 hp OHV engine gold series with XRD and spin filter (as opposed to the 28902's 19.5hp variant of the same engine) and a foot pedal controlled automatic transmission.

Otherwise, the 28904 and 28902 share the same basic features, most notably a 42" precision cut mowing system.
